She was predeceased by: her husbands, Paul "Shorty" Thompson and Charles Dotson. She is survived by: her sons, Byron and Erik; her grandchildren, Jazmyn, Taylor, Cameran, Travis and Callie; her great grandchild Zion Wainwright; and her siblings, Marguerite Harvey, Paul "Bobby" Bowman, Elaine Baker and Francis "Sonny" Penny.

Viewing was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home (3439 Livingston Rd, Indian Head, MD 20640). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at the St. Charles Cemetery.
