He was predeceased by: his wife Carole Ann Gibison; his parents, Joseph F. Gibison, Sr. and Alice McCullen Gibison; his sister Alice Gibison Tanner Snyder (Robert Snyder); and his parents-in-law, Joseph Flynn and Catherine Flynn.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathleen Carole (Gibison); his granddaughter Colette "Coco" Flynn Gibison of Lutherville, Maryland; his son Joseph F. Gibison, III (Christine); his grandsons, Joseph F. Gibison, IV and Thomas Ross Gibison of Davidsonville, Maryland; his brother-in-law Brian Flynn (Tricia) of Franktown, Colorado; his niece Kelly Flynn Keck (Bryan); his great-nieces, Emilia and Dafne of San Diego, California; his nephew Sean Flynn of Castle Rock; his niece Jessica Gibison Nickelsen (Todd); and his great-nieces, Alivia and Isabella of Jefferson, Georgia.
