John Oliver "Boobie" Williams, 49, of Lutherville-Timonium, MD, entered the sunset of life at his residence on Monday, December 13, 2021. The youngest child of Theresa E. Knowles and John Williams, "Boobie" was born on Wednesday, April 5, 1972, at the Brooklyn Jewish Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. In 1972, he migrated to Palatka with his mother and brothers. He was educated in the Putnam and Bradford County Schools and was a graduate of Bradford High School. While in high school, he became an elite athlete and earned a full athletic scholarship to Morgan State University (MSU), Baltimore, MD, for his wrestling prowess. He was the first wrestler from Bradford High to win a state championship. He was a state champion weightlifter also. His amateur wrestling career culminated with him being a collegiate champion for MSU. In 1997, "Boobie" earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from MSU.
"Boobie" settled in Baltimore and launched his career with a professional engagement as a Senior Investigator with the U.S. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority's (FINRA) enforcement unit. While at FINRA, he gained the reputation to be a shrewd investigator, dealing with multi-million-dollar firms. He led investigations into two cases that garnered national media attention and were featured in the Wall Street Journal. He has also been engaged as an independent consultant and analyst. In Baltimore, he was united in holy matrimony to Levi Williams. From that union, two sons and a daughter were born: Chase, Dallas and Charli.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his natural father, Richard McLeod; father-in-love, Alphonso Jones, Sr.; uncles, Willie K. Knowles, Jr.; Dwight D. Knowles; aunt, Geraldine Knowles; and great aunt, Every Mae Knowles.
