He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Kathryn Bottorff (Snell) and James R. Bottorff; his sister Linda Bottorff; his adoptive father James Monroe; and his grandson Patrick Kennedy.
He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Kennedy (Shaun); his grandchildren, Carson and Annie of Kelso, Washington; his siblings, Mark Monroe of Toledo, Ohio, Amy Andrews (Monroe) of Athens, Georgia and Andy Monroe (Pat) of Athens, Georgia; and his grandson Lucian of Alexandria, VA. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
