It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mertina Smith (Lusby, Maryland), born in Port Republic, Maryland, who passed away on January 19, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Harrod and Mertina Booth Harrod. She is survived by: her spouse Kingsley Smith, Sr.; her children, Wayne Smith of Lusby, Kingsley Smith, Jr. of Lusby, Rodney Smith (Chanelle) of Lusby, Karen Chase (Rodney) of Lexington Park, MD, Ernestia Kesler (Richard) of Baltimore and Barbara Douglas (Joseph) of Lexington Park; her sister Bertha Wallace of Port Republic, MD; and her adoptive children, Felicity, Robert, Trevonte and Tyshey Smith. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
