The passing of Maria Rosa Walter of Lothian, Maryland, born in Baltimore, Maryland leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 18, 2024 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Glorioso and Frances Glorioso; her husband Joseph Amos Walter; her son Ronald Walter; and her grandsons, Jacob and Griffin Walter.

She is survived by: her sons, Stephen (Kaye Phillips) of St. Petersburg, FL, Anthony (Wynn Phillips), Christopher (Varanda Phillips) of Anacortes, WA and Steven (Maria Walter) of Lothian; and her grandchildren, Chase, Alec Phillips, Taylor Pimental, Nicholas Sieh, Isabel, Sophie, Holly, Joey and Vincent Walter. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory (2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037).

In lieu of flowers, the family would deeply appreciate donations in Maria's memory be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231, or the National Kidney Foundation, 1600 Tysons Blvd., McLean, VA 22102.

“Maria was the most loving caring woman I have ever met. We had many wonderful times and laughs during the years I was married to her brother, Vince, and even after the divorce we kept in contact through Facebook. I will so miss her posts and pictures of the family. Rest well sweet lady.”
