He was predeceased by: his parents, Pauline Garrett (Parker) and Joseph Garrett; his wife Alice Garrett; his grandson J. Jared Blake; and his brother Charlie Garrett.
He is survived by: his children, Page Smith (George), Andrea Blake (Guy), Dr. Tracy Garrett, Robyn Garrett-Coan (Fred) and Alex Garrett (Pujae); his grandchildren, Troy Putman (Lisa), James Deonde Putman, Kova Blake, Alexandria Coan, Austin Coan, Amanda Garrett and Arianna Garrett; his brother Melvin Garrett (Vera); and his sisters-in-law, Matilda Fletcher, Delores Smith and Florine Garrett. He is also survived by ten great-great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
