He is survived by: his close friend Phyllis Banks of Washington, DC.; his sisters, Ruth A. Jones and Nellie C. Dickerson; his siblings-in-law, Kadena A. Blake and James H. Jackson; his aunt Josephine; and his uncle James Gross. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
