Walter Smith and Angel Simms; his aunts, Annie Mae Mason (Gary), Shirley Dickerson (Harold), Juanita Stanton, Diana, Ida and Dorothy Jones; his close friend Alfred Parker (Jelly); and also, Zesha Wallace and Nina Wallace.
