He was predeceased by: his parents, David A. Rayner and Marguerite C. James; and his brother David "Nook" Jones. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Rayner (House); his children, Dave (Lisa) of Avilton, Jim (Lynne Bullerman) of Iowa and Susan Duckworth (John) of Frostburg; his grandchildren, Jamie Keister (Michael), Sarah Duckworth and John Wesley Duckworth; his great grandchild Macey Marie Keister; his siblings, Sue Howser, Bob Rayner (Sharon) and Sherry Fazenbaker (Olen); his sister-in-law Betsy Magruder; and his close friends, Pat Skipper, Edna Clark, Bill Tietz and Linda James.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be sent in memory of Jim to the Midland Fire Company at 14823 Broadway St., Midland, MD 21532 and the George's Creek Ambulance Service at 19 Union St., Lonaconing, MD 21539.
