It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris Jean Lancaster (Lonaconing, Maryland), who passed away on November 11, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Shearer and Jean Shearer (Izzett); her husband John "Jack" Lancaster; and her brother John Shearer. She is survived by: her son Barry Lancaster (Nancy) of Midland; her granddaughters, Courtney Henry (Lee) and Lindsey Diehl (Mike); her great grandchild Elleigh Jean Henry; and her friends, Alicia and Marvin "Bacon" Miller. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendar Grace United Methodist Church (19915 Church St, Midland, MD 21542). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
At the request of the family donations may be made in Jean's memory to Grace United Methodist Church at 19915 Church St., Midland, MD 21532 or Midland Fire Company No. 1 at 14823 Broadway St., Midland, MD 21532.
