She was predeceased by: her parents, William D. Steely and Jennie E. Salzer Steely; her husband Elwood P. Cassell; and her siblings, David, William Steely, Jr., Mildred Steely, Helen Klinger, Ada Shaeffer and Edna Coleman.

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Denise, Barbara, Susan, John, Donald, Richard, Diane, Mark, Deborah and Irene; and her friends, Irene Broch and Sharon Schultz.
