She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Newlin and Dorothy Newlin; her husband Roy Lively, Sr.; her brother Oliver Newlin; her son Duane Allen; and her grandson Mark Short, Jr..

She is survived by: her stepchildren, Roy Lively, Jr., Tammy Lively, Joyce Paulette and Vicky Lively; her children, Sarah Short (Mark) and Jeff Allen (Crystal); her grandson Christopher Short (Brie); her siblings, Pat Hensley, Nancy Wilson and Dorney Newlin; and her daughter-in-law Terry Allen. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
