He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hamilton Shepherd, Sr. and Evelyn Ester Elwell Shepherd; his wife Betty Jane Barcklow Shepherd; and his sister Jean E. Cain. He is survived by: his daughters, Jane Hogg of Monrovia, MD and Bette Shepherd (David Dickmyer) of Lineboro, MD; and his grandchildren, David Hogg of Frederick, MD and Rebekah Hogg of Lineboro, MD..
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel (3296 Charmil Dr, Manchester, MD 21102). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
