He was predeceased by: his parents, Echol Horton and Sarah; his siblings, Ralph Horton, Betty Tennis and Charlotte Reed; and his stepson Mark Lee O'Connor.
He is survived by: his wife Nellie Mae; his daughters, Linda Scott of Boston, MA, Kathleen Horton of Boston, MA and Faye Blanche of Laurel, MD; and his stepson Shawn O'Connor (Laura) of Sunderland, MD. He is also survived by five grandsons, and three granddaughters; an extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Brinsfield Funeral Home (22955 Hollywood Rd, Leonardtown, MD 20650). A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Brinsfield Funeral Home (22945 Hollywood Rd, Leonardtown, MD 20650).
