He was predeceased by: his children, John Francis Carroll, Jr., Jeffrey Owen Carroll and Joyce Ann Carroll; his grandson John Francis Carroll, III; and his siblings, Lucy Dudley, Virginia Porter, Helen Robinson, Augustus, Charles, Tolbert, Thomas and Paul Carroll.
He is survived by: his wife Annie; his children, David (Vicky), Martin, Joan (Ronnie), Maurice and Christopher, Sr.; his sister Sarah Chase of Lexington Park, MD; and his goddaughter Debbie Short.
