It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edward Carroll of Lexington Park, Maryland, who passed away on January 27, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Carroll; his sister Dorothy Chase; his grandparents, Douglas and Grace Carroll; and his aunts and uncles, Lucy Dudley, Virginia Porter, Helen Robinson, Augustus, Charles, Tolbert, John Francis Sr., Thomas and Paul Carroll.
He is survived by: his children, Yvonne Brooks, Melvin Carroll, Sr. (Wendy) and Michael Fenwick, Sr. (Beverly); his grandchildren, Eric Jr., Troy, Melvin Jr., Marcus (Emah), Takiera (Raymond), Travis (Maria), Michael Jr., Alexus and Renee; his great grandchildren, Sade', Deric, Erianna, Zoe, Tamia, Tyler, Terrell, Nasir and Isaiah; his parent Sarah Chase; and his siblings, Elizabeth Carroll, Phyllis Chase, Barbara Lee Chase and Raymond "Puddin" Chase. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, godchildren, and friends.
