He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ollie Taylor and Anne Thomas; his children, Delilah, Doris and Rickey Sr. Heartic (Shana) of Lexington Park; his brother Otis; his wife Linna Mae; his close friend Sylvia London of Greensboro, NC; his stepson Bernard London (Valerie) of Fredericksburg, VA; and his grandchildren, Felicia, Condracedra, Chay, Telvon, Makina, Matthew (Shiree) and Draon (Lakondria). He was also cherished by 19 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
