She was predeceased by: her parents, Cora Rebecca Thompson (Johnson) and John Thompson; her son Joseph Tyrone Thompson; her grandson Milton Eugene Bailey Jr.; her siblings, George Bernest Thompson (Rosie), Nellie Elizabeth Thompson, James Harry Thompson (Ann), Edward Louis Thompson (Violet), Joseph Willard Thompson (Ellen), Agnes Nola Mattison (Preston), William Rudolph Thompson (Catherine), Helen Rebecca Jordan (Morris) and Warren Sylvester Thompson; and her son-in-law Milton Eugene Bailey Sr..

She is survived by: her friends, Lucille Berry, Edna Clayton, Laurice White (Chase), Sade Chase, Gloria Robinson, Dorothy Thomas and Alice Pollock; her children, Gloria Bailey of Great Mills, MD, James Thompson Sr. (Shirley) of Clinton, MD, Gail Hall (Nathan) of Upper Marlboro, MD, Kenneth Thompson and Anthony Thompson Sr. of Lexington Park, MD.; her children-in-law, Charles Countiss (Anita), Michael Guy (Kelly), Lisa Thompson, Stephanie Grymes and Daniela Anthes; her grandchildren, Karen Miller (Wayne), Joseph Bailey, Kimberly Bailey, James Thompson, Jr., Keshia Thompson, Ashley Thompson, Warren Thompson, Jr., Mia Thompson, India Hall and Nickole House (Reginald); and her great grandchildren, Wayne Jr. and Ebony. She is also survived by 7 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
