He was predeceased by: his parents, Hildegarde M. (Freiler) and James F. Martin, Sr.; his wife Evelyn; his son Captain Brian Martin of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and his siblings, Mary P. Bartley of King and James F. Martin, Jr. of Glenolden, PA..

He is survived by: his children, Jacquelyn Martin of Collegeville, PA and Robin Riordan of Cayucos, CA; and his grandchildren, Kelly Riordan, Kevin Riordan and Stephanie Olekszak.
