With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Philip Clyde Watson Sr. (Leonardtown, Maryland), who passed away on December 31, 2020 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Edward Watson and Thelma Ona Townshend Watson; his wife Betty Page Young Watson; and his brother Russell G. Watson, Sr.. He is survived by: his friend Bob Cooksey; his siblings, Laurie G. Watson of Hampton, VA and Jean B. Richards of Baden; his children, Patricia Watson Dolesh (Richard Dolesh) of Aquasco, Philip Watson, Jr. (Jim Sonick) of Brandywine, Ruth Watson Tabb (James Tabb) of Brandywine and Carolyn Watson (Ginny Stominski) of Rehoboth Beach, DE.; his grandchildren, Heather Plutschak (Brad Plutschak), Matthew Dolesh (Linda Toumi Dolesh), Mark Dolesh (Leigh Ann Wimmel) and Michael Dolesh (Ashley Jensen Dolesh); and his great grandchildren, Hayden Plutschak, Molly Plutschak, Max Dolesh, Nikolina Dolesh, Alex Dolesh, Andrew Dolesh and Noelle Dolesh.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, funeral and burial services will be private.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Immanuel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund 17400 Aquasco Road, Brandywine, MD 20613, or to RES Homecare, 26595 Lawrence Adams Drive, Mechanicsville, MD, 20659, who will use donations made in Phil's name to buy medical supplies for patients who cannot afford them.
