It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Josephine Kemp (Leonardtown, Maryland), born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on August 29, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kathryn Lovenia Carroll and Joseph Benjamin Carroll; her husband William Leslie Kemp; her daughter Mary Friess; and her brothers, Joseph B. Carroll and Charles E. Carroll.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Wheeler (Frankie) of Clements, MD, Thomas Kemp (Mary) of Mechanicsville, MD, William Kemp of Avenue, MD and Elizabeth Yates of Avenue, MD. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
