We are sad to announce that on December 13, 2019, at the age of 84, Joan Polko (Leonardtown, Maryland), born in Clairton, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Gilmore Harding and Charles Harding; her husband John Joseph Polko; and her siblings, Vivian Sweeney, Edgar Harding, Charlotte Sweterlitsch and Mary Elizabeth Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Lisa Polko (Dianne) of Leonardtown, MD, Cindy Bassford (Bryan) of Leonardtown, MD, John Polko II (Shelley) of Huntingtown, MD and Kathy Daye (Daryl) of Johnson City, TN; her grandchildren, Jessica Moser, John Logan Polko (Kaitlyn), Brandon Bassford, Kaitlin Beasley-Polko and Kylee Beasley-Polko; her great grandchild Laniya Harris; and her sister Eleanor Harding Sweterlitsch of Coraopolis, PA.
