With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine Ann Hayden (Leonardtown, Maryland), who passed away on November 29, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Belle Wathen (Yates) and George Roger Wathen; her sons, James Anthony Speith and Walter Rupert Speith; and her siblings, James Gwyn Wathen, Robert Clarence Wathen, George Roger Wathen Jr., Rebecca Ruth Proffit, Ramona Marie Hayden, Grace Cecelia Mattingly, Mary Rita DeLozier, Alice Teresa Cromwell and Frances Elizabeth Owens.
She is survived by: her former husband Jarrett Speith; her daughters, Kathryn Clara Speith of Leonardtown, MD and Patricia Speith Bragg (Mat) of Richmond, VA; her grandchildren, Madeline Bragg (Jordan Johnson), Liesel Bragg, Jesse Humphries (Sarah) and Jarrett Speith; her great grandchildren, Lancelot Humphries and Evangeline Humphries; her husband Charles Benedict "Dick" Hayden; and her close friends, Junior and Jean Buckler.
A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home (41590 Fenwick St, Leonardtown, MD 20650).
