He is survived by: his wife Ann Nethken Ehlers; his son Abraham Michael Ehlers; his stepdaughters, Courtney Holihen (Terrence) and Ingrid Jones (Patrick); his sister Frances Ehlers Driggs; and his grandchildren, Julia, Eduardo and Ernest. He is also survived by extended family with nieces and nephews.
