He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bonard" Layton and Florence Bailey Layton; and his brother Richard Lee Layton, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Betty Layton; and his children, Sharon Liddell of Milford, Carol Morris (Terry) of Millsboro, David Layton (Cristine) of Seaford and Cherie Layton of Seaford. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
