Ralph Xavier Nardone Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ralph Xavier Nardone of Laurel, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 4, 2024 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Burns Nardone; and his parents, Rocco Nardone and Erminia Adelina Antonino Nardone. He is survived by: his brother Cicci; his child Cheverly, MD; his siblings, Montpelier Pool, Gerard Nardone (Cicci), Mary Manette, Constance Bontempo, Palma Patterson and Malinda Kupidlowski; his grandson Angello Nimrod Gant; his children, Paul Burns Nardone (Linda), Clare Cullen Bennett (John), Jane Waters Mills (Charles), Mark Burns Nardone (Nita) and Nancy Leyden Gant (Edward); his grandchildren, Juliane Gallion (Connor), Theresa Nardone, Natali Portillo, Rachel Bennett (Edward), Jason Bennett (Agatha), Matthew Bennett, Kathryn Mills Frett, Lucy Mills Marx-Gibbons (Michael), Joseph Mills, Naomi Mills Derrick (Matthew), Nicholas Mills (Julia), Rocco Mills (Bridget), Suzannah Mills, Julia Nardone, Cara Nardone, Lawrence Gant (Louisa), Tabitha Gant Strobel (William), Xena Gant McWilliams (Warren), Quinton Gant, Cyrus Gant and Orion Gant; his great grandchildren, Kallan Frett, Keagan Frett, Grayson Marx-Gibbons, Abigail Derrick, Elliana Derrick, Nicholas Mills Jr., David Mills, Jack Rafeal Mills, Simon Gant, Luna Strobel and Zora Strobel; and his siblings, Gilda Ahern of Westerly, RI, Louise Fusaro of Westerly, RI and Church.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home (313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Church (8603 Contee Rd, Laurel, MD 20708). A reception was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. Ralph body surfed in the Atlantic Ocean until age 85, completed complex income tax returns until 100, mastered the daily crossword puzzle, led the family book club initiated during the Pandemic, supported the St. Nicholas Prayer Team and executed on-line, stock exchange options trading until October 2024.
Charitable Request: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Ralph to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Mid-Maryland Chapter.
