It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jane Knecht of Laurel, Maryland, born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, who passed away on September 7, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Gilmore Greenwald and Emily Greenwald Byers; her husband Glen C. Knecht, Sr.; and her daughter Janet Lynn Dick (Jonathan). She is survived by: her siblings, Sally Greenwald and NJ; and her children, Todd R. Knecht (Jane), Elizabeth A. Myers (Tom), Wendy J. Higgins (Craig), Glen C. Knecht, Jr. (Beth) and Amy K. Frierson (Frick). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
