He is survived by: his wife Colleen Matthews; his children, Dennis Matthews (Marguerite), Monica Thomas, Harun Matthews, Colette Matthews, Erika Matthews, Brittany Z. Matthews and Katrina Matthews; his brother Steve Matthews (Dora); and his cousin Belinda Matthews-Wright. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
