It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Arthur Ellsworth Creighton of Laplata, Maryland, who passed away on November 29, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Creighton and Cora May Saunders Creighton; his wife Ruth; his siblings, Donald Creighton, Harry Creighton and Eleanor Markward; his stepdaughter Judy Goldsmith Fields; and his grandsons, Nick Sinsel and Chris Schick.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Paul Goldsmith (Juls), Dottie Moats, Joe Goldsmith (Darlene), Teresa Willingham (Steve) and Becky Fox (Carlin); his grandchildren, Jeff Bowie Jennifer (Vicky), Andrew Willingham, Holly Garrison (David), Cheyenne Goldsmith (Cole), Natalie, Mackenzie, Alaina and Ella Fox; his great grandchildren, Tru Glotfelty, Mia Bowie, Jillian, Caroline Bowling, Jordyn, Gage Willingham, Clayton and Brooke Garrison; and his grandson Brian Moats (family: Shannon Smith, Mason Hall, Caitlin Fox, Emily Chappelle). He is also survived by family, Shannon Smith and family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Ave, La Plata, MD 20646). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Trinity Memorial Gardens (3165 Mattawoman Beantown Rd, Waldorf, MD 20601).
