In loving memory of Shirley Ann Townes (Lanham, Maryland), born in Virgilina, Virginia, who departed this world on August 18, 2024 at the age of 78. In the vast expanse of eternity, Shirley shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Shirley farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Frances Royster and Thomas Newby; her close friend Louis Jackson; and her children, Felicia Townes, Willie Townes Jr., Monte Milling, Michelle Milling, Milton Milling Jr., Louis C. Jackson and Michael Jackson. She was also cherished by 23 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Seaton Memorial AME Church (5507 Lincoln Ave, Lanham, MD 20706).
