With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Serafin Avitia of Lanham, Maryland, who passed away on August 4, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Alma Lorena Kelly Avitia; and his children, Serafin Avitia, IV and Adela G. Lohr. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthias Catholic Church.
