She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Fire Captain George R. Flaherty of Washington, D. C. and Florence; her husband James; her children, James W. and Elizabeth McChesney of Crofton, MD; and her granddaughter Amy Gould (Wes) of Fairfax, VA..

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake.
