He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis J. Murray and Mary Elizabeth Murray; his daughter Janet Ann; and his siblings, Francis, Mary, Nancy and Marjorie.
He is survived by: his wife Joy; his children, Jennifer Horsley (Virgil), Julie Miller (James) and John Murray, Jr. (Angela); his grandchildren, Michael, Nathan, Gabe, Hannah, Olivia, Evan and Eric; his sisters, Anna Patricia and Rose Marie Murray; and his close friend Donald Brophy. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that donations be made in John's memory to Casey House, 6001 Muncaster Mill RD., Rockville, MD, 20855, and the Alzheimer's Association.
