He is survived by: his wife Brenda Lee Galyon Newton of Knoxville; his daughters, Katheryn E. Newton of Possum Grape and Michelle M. Newton of Clanton; his grandson Brandon L. Ellis; his son Elijah L. Ellis of Clanton; his grandchildren, Timothy D. Holcomb of Hortense and Angel M. Ferris of Louisiana; his daughter Joyce J. Beck of Marietta; his grandchild Ashley N. Beck; his children, Daniel C. Beck of Marietta and Donnell N. Lancaster (A. Shane Lancaster) of Mableton; his brother Joel B. Newton (Valorie Newton) of Durham, NC.; his nephew Joel P. Newton of Durham, NC.; his stepbrother Larry C. Cowan of Burlington, NC.; his cousins, Suzanne Thomas (Sidney Thomas), Fay Hendricks of Alpharetta and Peggy Cox of Nashville; his son Matt; his brother Ricky V. Ellison of Knoxville; and also D.
