He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Flurer (Butler); and his uncle Charles Long Flurer. He is survived by: his father Henry Chipman Flurer of Princess Anne, MD; his wife Sally Flurer (Kellogg); his son Brad Flurer of Columbia, MD; and his sister Sheila Flurer-Evans of Chester, MD. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Consensus agreed that his fishing records would be highly valuable to a marine research laboratory around Chesapeake Bay, where Chris's family plans to donate his fishing records in the near future.
