She was predeceased by: her parents, Wentford Burgess and Imogene Parker; and her sister Carolyn Spain. She is survived by: her daughter Kelsey Varner; and her siblings, Olivia Foreman and Kevin Burgess. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Afterward, she continued her career as Controller for RV Carey's Plumbing and Heating in Rockville, MD, where she made valuable contributions to the company.
