She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Bell and Willie Mae Bell; her husband James H. Mixon; and her son Van D. Mixon. She is survived by: her children, Gregory Mixon (Jeannie), Vanessa Hatcher Jones (Darren), Michelle Avenie and Kimberly Donaldson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
