It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Brooks of Landover, Maryland, who passed away on July 8, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosa E. Wells Brooks and Charles Brooks; his daughter Gloria (Vickey); and his siblings, Bernice and Philip.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Brooks (Tootie); his friend Adell Hillyer; his children, Charles (Levita), Vivian (Susie), Theresa Jones (late Carl), Rita and Mark (La'Tonya); and his siblings, Geraldine, Mary (Baby Sis), Jerome (Boomoose), John (Jack), James (Jim), Sam and Melvin (Bernie). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, a host of cousins, in-laws, and friends.
