He is survived by: his parents, Leo Hicks and Alice L. Hicks; his close friend Doris Hemsley; and his siblings, Lola Hicks, Gloria Swann, Randy Hicks, John Hicks, Sheila Hicks and Allen Hicks. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
