He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Henry Portzen and Margaret Lee Portzen; and his siblings, Debbie Portzen Coleman, Ronnie (Rooster) and Ricky Portzen.

He is survived by: his sister Sandy Burch; and his nieces and nephews, Mike Portzen, Jamie Portzen Hare (Brian), Chris Portzen (Jennifer), Tiffany, Krystal Buchanan, Melissa Coleman Gleason (Mike), Katie Coleman, Patrick and Stephanie Portzen.
