He was predeceased by: his parents, George C. Adams, Sr. and Rosie V. Adams; his brothers, Horace and George Jr.; and his granddaughter Lucy Anne.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Lee Hayes (Danny Hayes), Samuel Adams Jr., Semore Adams, Jason Adams (Erika Adams) and Jesse Adams; and his sisters, Betty Welch, Shirley Pickeral and Susie Henson.
