He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Cooksey; his parents, Rupert P. Cooksey, Sr. (Tom) and Elizabeth Hay Cooksey (Roberts); and his brother James C. Cooksey. He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Karen Gray (Michael) and Beverly Fay Norris; his grandson Timothy Allen; his daughter Asia; his son-in-law Mervin L. Allen, Jr. (Nicole); his grandchildren, Piper and Flynn Allen; his sister-in-law Catherine Cooksey; his nephew James Cooksey; and his niece Carolyn Cooksey.
