He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Hardesty Sr. and Margaret Hardesty (Tippett); and his brothers, Carroll Jr. and Kenny (Sharon). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hardesty (Sandy); his daughter Tiffany Purcell Hardesty; his brothers, Ricky (Charlene), Gene (Laurie) and Willie (Gail); his aunt Dixie Ogg; and his mother-in-law Jo Purcell. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to his softball tournament charity for D.C. Firefighter's Burn Foundation, 3002 12th Street NE, Washington DC 20017.
