He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Atchinson and Eva Atchinson (Moreland); his son Christopher L. Atchinson of LaPlata, MD; and his siblings, Robert L. Atchinson, Jr., James W. Atchinson, Marvin Atchinson, Lewis Atchinson and Evelyn Bowie (Wayne).
He is survived by: his wife Linda Atchinson of LaPlata, MD; and his sisters, Leona Jacobs (Lavern) and Jeanette McIlwee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
