He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Reckeweg (David Bayles), Michelle Bast (Gregory) and John Reckeweg (Laura); and his grandsons, Benjamin Bast, William Reckeweg, Nathaniel Bast and Henry Reckeweg.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Ave, La Plata, MD 20646). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Plata United Methodist Church (3 Port Tobacco Rd, La Plata, MD 20646). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the Dentsville Methodist Cemetery East Charles.
