He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Donald Sr., Louise Vernon, Levi Thomas, Virginia Wellons and Frances Wellons.
He is survived by: his parents, Donald Vernon and Roseanne Vernon of La Plata, Maryland.; his former wife Georgiana Badovinac-Vernon; his son Michael Jr.; and his sisters, Lora Vernon-Kidd (Michael) and Julianne Vernon Zutant (Jason).
