He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Burton Sr. and Sadie Burton (Mims); his wife Patsy Gail Burton; his daughter Joy Carroll Burton; his siblings, Helen Brown (Aubry), Sarah Maddox (James), Alice Harrison, Billy Jack Burton (Frances), Archie Jr. Burton (Martha) and Sam Burton (Jean); and his sister-in-law Lynn Burton.
He is survived by: his children, Tonya Burton Derryberry (Rick), Kay Young and Benjamin Burton; his grandsons, Johnathan Derryberry, Colin Young, Ryan Young, Jacob Burton and Kaleb Burton; his siblings, Christine "Cricket" White (Skeet) and Jud Burton; and his brother-in-law Bill Harrison.
