It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Amy Mathews Sexton of La Plata, Maryland, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on September 4, 2022, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Jack D. Mathews; her grandparents, Summers, Della Redden, Louis and Essie Mathews; and her aunts and uncles, Linda Redden, Juanita Coomes, Mary Jean Mathews, Barbara Cockerham, Wayne Mathews and Danny Cockerham.
She is survived by: her mother Connie Rutledge; her stepfather Mike Rutledge; her sons, Andrew Eugene and Cody Mathew Sexton; her brothers, Jack (Matt), Daniel and Alex Matthews; and her aunts and uncles, Jean SanLuis, Jean Rogers, Janet Mathews, David and Bobby Mathews (Wanda). She is also survived by nephews, nieces, and cousins.
