With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Barnhouse of Knoxville, Maryland, who passed away on May 22, 2021 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley Barnhouse to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Charles J. Barnhouse; her parents, James Howard Carter and Naomi Himes Carter; and her brothers, James K. Carter and Alton B. Carter.

She is survived by: her children, Judy Nuice (Tommy) of Knoxville, Charles H. Barnhouse and Gloria of Chestnut Grove; her grandchildren, Christy Robinson (Jay), Tina Shoemaker (Ernie) and Jamie Barnhouse; and her great great grandchild Pam Barnhouse. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Brownsville Church of the Brethren, 1911 Rohrersville Rd, Knoxville, MD 21758.
